At the launch event, Motorola India s GM Amit Boni revealed that Moto G (third-generation) is selling 40 percent better than the previous model. This is pretty impressive considering the fact that Motorola has only been selling its smartphones on Flipkart, unlike some its rivals such as Xiaomi, which have started selling on other e-commerce portals as well.
A quick recap, the Moto G (third-generation) flaunts a 5-inch HD (720p) display and covered with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by Qualcomm 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the photography front, the smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It is equipped with a 2,470mAh battery which Motorola claims to have enough juice to last an entire day and it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. Connectivity features such as 4G LTE, dual SIM card slots, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth are present on the smartphone. The smartphone also comes with IPX7 certification for water resistance.
