Adding to the frenzy around the festive discounts on top smartphones, Lenovo-owned Motorola announced major price discounts on four smartphones from its portfolio. The company announced the discounts through its official Twitter account on the following smartphones – Moto E4, Moto M, Moto Z2 Play, and Moto G5. Moto E4, which is originally priced at Rs 8,999, is being offered at Rs 8,199 after a small discount. The Moto G5, which is currently priced at Rs 12,599, will be available at Rs 10,999. The Moto M will be available at Rs 12,999, Rs 4,000 down from its original pricing of Rs 16,999. Lastly, the Moto Z2 Play with semi-modular capabilities will be available at Rs 24,999. In addition to the impressive limited period discounts, Motorola is also offering the devices bundled with Reliance Jio data offer, under which you can avail up to 100GB of additional 4G data. There’s no clarity on how the Jio offer can be availed as currently, Jio offers 5GB of additional 4G data on recharge of Rs 309 for the Moto M and Moto G5. There are easy EMI options on the select smartphones as well. It is worth noting that the Special Diwali Offer starts from October 14 and will be live until October 21. Also, these deals can be availed only through offline Moto stores.
Moto E4 is one of the affordable smartphones to run Android Nougat. It features a 5-inch HD (720p) display with 2.5D cover glass protection. Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It further comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front camera with flash. It is fueled by a 2,800mAh battery.
Moto G5 features a 5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core 1.4GHz SoC with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. It is powered by a 2,800mAh battery. Coming to Moto M, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass. It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P15 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with Mali T860MP2 GPU. There’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. In the photography department, the Moto M is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera of f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection Auto-focus (PDAF) support. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It is fueled with a 3,050mAh battery.
Lastly, the Moto Z2 Play features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core 2.2GHz SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. On the photography, the device features a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs Android Nougat and is fueled with a 3,000mAh battery.
