The Moto G is Motorola’s attempt to bring a premium Android experience at a third of the price of high-end flagship smartphones. Priced at $179 for the 8GB variant, the phone sports a 4.5-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8/16GB internal memory variants.
The Moto G is claimed to have internal and external nano coating for water splash resistance. It also sports a 5-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front facing cameras. It also has a 2,070mAh battery that Motorola claims to provide all day long battery backup.
It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Motorola promising Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade by January. Motorola is claiming it gives the pure Android experience with some minor improvements.
