Last week, Motorola took us all by surprise when its Moto G teaser subtly hinted that its forthcoming entry-level device could be headed to India. Motorola’s Facebook post asking people to sign up for the live webcast read “Namaste, India! Register today for Wednesday’s global livestream and be the first to see Moto G.” This Facebook post coupled with last week’s tweet and reports about CEO Dennis Woodside’s scheduled visit to India are too much of a coincidence to ignore. As we previously stated, Motorola could replicate Google’s model of selling its Nexus devices online and also hiring a local distributor. We saw the first press renders leak on Friday thanks to @evleaks and from what we know of the device so far, the Moto G is expected to feature a 4.5-inch 720p display with Gorilla Glass, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front facing cameras and Bluetooth 4.0.
Earlier today, the Moto G got listed on Amazon UK revealing its price tag of £160 or Rs 16,200 approximately.
