Right before the official announcement, more details have emerged about HMD Global’s upcoming Nokia 7+ smartphone. The Nokia 7+ will be launched alongside four other Nokia smartphones at MWC 2018, which kick starts on February 26. While there have been past rumors about the purported smartphone, the latest adds more color through press images. Spotted by NokiaPowerUser, the images showcase the Nokia 7+ in black and white color options. The smartphone has previously leaked through similar images in the past, but this time around both the color options are placed side-by-side. Based on the images, the smartphone features an edge-to-edge screen with prominent top and bottom bezels. At the rear of the Nokia 7+ is a dual-camera module placed vertically in the middle of the panel. The fingerprint sensor is placed next to the camera module at the back and has the same golden rim running along the edges of the phone.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 7+ is likely to sport a 6-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, which will make it the first Nokia smartphone to pack edge-to-edge display. Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC is expected to be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is likely the phone will run Android Ooreo out-of-the-box.
According to the report, the camera system on the Nokia 7+ will include Zeiss dual-lens sensors. It is expected that there will be a combination of 12-megapixel+13-megapixel sensors at the back with 2X optical zoom feature. Up front, a 16-megapixel Zeiss camera is expected for selfies and bothies.
In addition to the Nokia 7+, HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 1, Nokia 4, Nokia 9, and Nokia 8 Sirocco at MWC 2018. The company will unveil the products on February 25, a day prior to the annual tech expo, at 4:00PM CET, which is 8:30PM in India.
