Successor to last year s Galaxy Tab S3, the new tablet is expected to bring incremental upgrades. Someone managed to put the tablet through the paces on GFXBench, and the benchmark has revealed its key specifications. Carrying model number SM-T835, the Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to boast a 10.5-inch display running at a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, as opposed to 9.7-inch display on the Galaxy Tab S3. Under the hood, the tablet is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. In the photography department, the tablet is expected to come with a 12-megapixel rear snapper and an 8-megapixel front camera.
With a SIM card slot for 4G connectivity, the tablet is also expected to come with Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities. On the software front, GFXBench hints at the tablet running on Android 8.0 Oreo update.
In comparison, Galaxy Tab S3 features a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display running at a resolution of 2048 1536 pixels, with 4:3 aspect ratio. Under the hood of the tablet is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, and a microSD card slot for further expansion.
With a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera, the tablet also houses a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The tablet is fuelled by a 6,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. In terms of connectivity, tablet includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and GPS. The cellular variant supports LTE Cat.6 with maximum speeds up to 300Mbps.
