After launching the Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 smartphones at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas, Sony looks all set to launch its flagship smartphone soon. If latest rumors are to be believed, Sony will be launching a new smartphone called the Xperia XZ Pro at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Images of what is believed to be the Xperia XZ Pro have also been leaked online.
That’s not it, Sony has reportedly set aside a date for the launch too. According to GSMarena, Sony has sent out media invites for a launch event on February 26, where it is expected to launch the Xperia XZ Pro.
According to a Chinese website, NewsDriver, the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ Pro will be featuring a dual camera setup with a combination of an 18-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.33μm and a 12-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.38μm. Up front, a 13-megapixel camera for video calling and selfies.
The smartphone is likely to flaunt a 5.7-inch OLED display with 4K resolution, and powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. With IP68 certified chassis, the Xperia XZ Pro is expected to become available in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. To keep things ticking, a 3,420mAh battery is expected, and it is likely to ship Android 8.0 Oreo is out-of-the-box.
In terms of pricing, the reports further suggest that the Sony Xperia XZ Pro will be priced around RMB 6,000 (Rs 59,500 approximately). We suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt, considering the company hasn’t really confirmed anything from their end as yet.
