The new MacBook Air, which Apple is rumored to launch in 2015, will get a redesign and also boast some new features, blogger Jack March reports. From the design perspective, the forthcoming Retina MacBook Air will be visibly thinner than before as it won’t have any fans inside. The Retina MacBook Air will be powered by Intel’s Core M processor, which is significantly slimmer, faster, and more power efficient. This allows Apple to get rid of fans thereby making the laptop even slimmer. Additionally, the bezels around the display too will be visibly thinner, and the speakers too have been moved above the keyboard. March further claims that the Retina MacBook Air will not employ MagSafe connector, and instead will be equipped with a new battery charging technology that we have never seen used in a Mac before. Among other changes, the standard USB port is also said to be replaced with a reversible USB Type C port. These USB ports were earlier rumored to be shipping with the iPhone 6, but that didn’t come to pass.
