From the images, the alleged Apple iPhone 8 case is kept next to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cases, and apparently, the iPhone 8 has gained noticeable bump. Quite interestingly, according to BGR.com chances are this design change will be welcomed by Apple enthusiasts, as many would love to opt for a thicker iPhone. Also, this would mean that Apple might shift from their continuing trend of making iPhone thinner with every next release. ALSO READ: Apple iPhone 8 leaked mold sheds light on bold new design
What this could also mean is a bigger battery and fingerprint scanner embedded into the screen itself. Talking about the fingerprint scanner, the alleged iPhone 8 case in the image rubbishes earlier rumors of Apple moving the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. This confirms the earlier reports of Apple working on fingerprint scanner or the home button embedded into the display itself.
Reports in past suggest that Apple is finally shifting to OLED display panels for the upcoming iPhone. Rounding up what we have heard so far, Apple iPhone 8 is expected to feature a glass back for wireless charging and will bear IP68 rating against waterproofing. In terms of specification, the upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by Apple s upcoming A11 chipset, built using the 10nm fabrication process. iPhone 8 has been rumored to feature 3GB of RAM with storage variants of 64GB and 256GB.
