Since taking the wraps off the new Google Maps at the I/O, the company has steadily introduced new features like real-time incident reports to its mapping application. The embed feature functions much the same as the full website. One can embed the maps on any website and it will show the selected place (like Mumbai in the embedded Map below). Google has also revealed that it will be adding ads to the embedded maps in the coming weeks. These ads will be shown as point of interests on the map, most likely in a different color too.
The new Google Maps is still in preview mode you will have to opt-in to start using it. But earlier this month, Google said that it will be slowly rolling out to all.
