Samsung Galaxy View specifications and features: Based on the leaked listing on eCommerce site Adorama that we ve come across yeaterday, the Galaxy View tablet will come with an 18.4-inch full HD (1080p) display which translates into a pixel density of 120ppi. While the screen would be decent enough to watch from a distance, we’re not sure about close range. We would reserve our judgement until we review the tablet.
Under the hood is a Carmen2 (Exynos 7580) 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on the offer is 3.2GB of onboard storage along with a microSD card with support for up to 128GB. There is also a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. There is no word on primary rear camera, not it is visible in the leaked images.
In terms of connectivity, 3G, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, A-GPS and GLONASS are expected to be present. The leaked listing that we came across was a Wi-Fi only variant, but a 3G version is also expected. With 5,700mAh battery, it is expected to offer up to eight and a half hours of video playback. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it s not clear if it will come with the slightly outdated OS or with Marshmallow.
As for the pricing, it s up for pre-order, priced at $599 (approximately Rs 39,000). However details about the availability are scarce at the moment. While Samsung hasn t announced anything yet, looking at the intensity of leaks, we expect more details to start pouring in. Till then, stay tuned!
