HMD has launched close to eight Nokia smartphones this year. With a decent build, good camera quality, and stock Android, the company is trying to get an edge over its competitors. Now it looks like the Finnish smartphone company is further planning to expand its lineup by launching a flagship smartphone with a radical feature.
According to a tweet from the famous tipster Roland Quandt, HMD is getting ready to launch a new smartphone with the Snapdragon 845 SoC. However, his tweet also states that the smartphone will carry a new feature “pioneered by a few Chinese brands.” This leads us to believe that the new Nokia smartphone could possibly come with a pop-up camera, similar to the ones introduced on the new Vivo NEX and Oppo Find X.
Roland’s tweet could also be a hint at an in-display fingerprint sensor that we’re seeing with so many smartphones lately. While no other details have been given, the tipster stated that he’ll be following up on the tweet tomorrow. You can count on us to update the space as soon as we have more information on this.

In other news, the Nokia X6 has been suggested to launch in India soon. A support page for the device was briefly spotted on Nokia’s Indian website. The device features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ (2280×1080 pixels) notch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC, with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a dual-rear camera setup and is powered by 3,060mAh battery. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. Pricing and availability for the smartphone haven’t been revealed yet.
