We’re well into the rumor and reports phase leading up to the launch of the next OnePlus device, the OnePlus 6T. And while there’s enough talk about what to expect from the upcoming smartphone, the latest report suggests that the smartphone won’t be the only product the company launches. The launch event in mid-October (rumored to be October 17 for now) could also see the successor to the OnePlus Bullets Wireless being launched.
The Bullets Wireless headphones from OnePlus were unveiled alongside the OnePlus 6 earlier this year, and went on sale in June. The headset is the first wireless audio accessory from the company, and is itself the successor to the OnePlus Bullets wired headphones. Priced at Rs 3,990 in India, the product has usually been out of stock, and OnePlus hasn’t quite been able to keep up with the demand for it the world over.
A report by Droid Life based on an FCC filing suggests that a new variant of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless is on the way. It remains to be seen what improvements the new headphones bring, but there could be minor tweaks in performance, sonic signature and battery life, as well as functional or design improvements. On the whole, changes are likely to be small; don’t expect a radically different product, but rather one that just fixes a few small aspects. The FCC listing doesn’t go into much detail, but does show the collar-band, indicating that OnePlus could stick with that design.

The model number of the new headset is indicated as BT32B, and is likely to sell at the same price if it is launched next month. It may not even be marketed as an entirely new product, but rather as a small improvement over the old product. The attention during the launch event will of course be on the OnePlus 6T, which rumors now suggest will come with a waterdrop notch, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and possibly even a triple-camera setup.
