As spotted by GizmoChina, a leaked image on Weibo and shows the front display of the alleged Xiaomi smartphone. The Xiaomi smartphone is seen running on MIUI while the display appears to be concave. The smartphone doesn t have the curved edges that are present in the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The curved centre on the Xiaomi smartphone reminds one of the LG G Flex smartphone which was launched back in February 2014. The speculation arises more from the fact that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 s curved display is supplied by LG, so there could be a possibility that the company could be opting for a curved design like this.
But let s not get ahead of ourselves here as it could be hoax for all we know. Also considering the fact that the LG G Flex smartphone did not do very well, the possibility dies down even more. LG after launching the G Flex smartphone back in 2014, revealed the G Flex 2 in 2015. The third smartphone in the series, the LG Flex 3 was highly rumored to launch at this year s IFA event but LG did not unveil the device. The smartphone is still expected to go live by the end of this year.
Xiaomi has already launched two smartphones this year with main focus being on the display. Given its recent surprise of unveiling the Mi MIX at the Mi Note 2 event, it could hold another surprise for its fans.
