We have recently seen photos of the Apple iPhone 6 (white and black variants) as well as an extensive gallery of the iPad Air 2. Now a photo of the next-generation iPad mini has been leaked online courtesy of AppleClub (via MacRumors). Also Read - Apple announces 15 best apps of 2020 on App Store: Check the list
The dummy model has been pictured alongside the iPhone 6 and the iPad Air 2, which not only gives an idea of the size differences, but also confirms the existence of the TouchID fingerprint sensor on the iPad mini as well. The TouchID scanner was first introduced on the iPhone 5S. With Apple opening Touch ID access to developers, it only makes sense to assume that more iOS devices will get a fingerprint sensor.
Besides the fingerprint scanner however, the photo doesn t reveal anything new. The presence of the fingerprint scanner is consistent with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo s claims earlier this year, who was the first to reveal the iPads will feature the fingerprint sensor on iPads as well. He also revealed that the next-gen iPads will be powered by an A8 processor and will feature an 8-megapixel camera.
