Motorola launched the second-generation Moto G and Moto X earlier this year, and now it seems to be planning on launching the next-generation Moto E as well. According to the publication, the next-gen Moto E will sport a 4.5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display, and is said to be powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, which is the same as last year’s Moto G. The smartphone is also said to feature a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, but there is no word on if it will feature a front-facing camera this time. Connectivity-wise it is likely to support LTE, and on the software front, not surprisingly it will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. In comparison, the first-generation Moto E features a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage, with microSD card support. Additionally, it also features a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1,980mAh battery, and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which will soon be updated to Lollipop.
There is however no word on when Motorola plans on launching the next-gen Moto E.
