Nikon has introduced a high-zoom camera in the form of the Nikon Coolpix P1000. The camera serves as the successor to last year’s P900, and comes with a high-zoom range of 125X with a maximum focal length of 3,000mm. The camera is priced around $1,000 (approximately Rs 68,700).
The lens on the camera comes with a focal range of 24-3,000mm with a minimum aperture range of f/2.8-8. At its full stretch, the lens extends up to 14-inches. It’s well equipped to take detailed shots of objects that are placed at a distance. To make sure you get crisp images at that level of zoom, Nikon has equipped the camera with a Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction system that can stabilize both horizontal and vertical movements.
The Nikon P1000 comes with 16-megapixel, 1/2.3-inch sensor which is the same as its predecessor. It features an ISO range of 100-6400 and can record 4K ultra HD (3840×2160 pixels) movies at 30fps with stereo sound. You also get manual control to adjust exposure and other settings, while taking both pictures and videos. It also supports RAW photography, Continuous Shooting, Time lapse and other creative modes.

The camera is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which can be used to control the Nikon P1000 with the help of the SnapBridge app or a Bluetooth remote. Nikon SnapBridge app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
