Nokia 3.1 users in India have started receiving Android 8.1 Oreo OTA update starting Thursday. The Android One smartphone was launched with Android 8.0 Oreo in India last month along with Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 2.1, where as many countries reportedly had it with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
The Android 8.1 Oreo OTA update for the Nokia 3.1 by HMD Global weighs 1.12 GB. The latest update brings security patch for September, along with redesigned power menu, battery percentage of Bluetooth accessories, fix to the hamburger emoji, a new Settings menu, Google’s Neural Networks API, and developer API 27.
HMD Global has already promised to update the Nokia 3.1 to Android 9 Pie later this year. The Nokia 3.1 was first introduced in Russia along with new Nokia 5.1, and Nokia 2.1. It is available across top mobile retailers, Paytm Mall and Nokia’s own website.
Nokia 3.1 Specifications and Price
The Nokia 3.1 comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek 6750 chipset with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and support for expandable microSD card. The Nokia 3.1 also got a bump in the camera department with the smartphone now supporting a 13-megapixel main camera while the selfie camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor with 84.6-degree lens.

The Nokia 3.1 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage and will be available in blue/copper, black/chrome and white/iron colors. It will also be available from August 12 and is priced at Rs 11,999.
