After the Nokia 6 started to receive the November 2017 security patch yesterday, Nokia 3 has now been updated with camera improvements. The update is available for download from the Play Store, where it is cited as a “New Camera release for Nokia 3”, which is believed to address its poor performance. Nokia hasn’t shared any specific details of the update.
The update was first spotted by GSMArena. As per the description on the Play Store, with the update, the camera app is now on the version 6.0090.07, and requires Android 7.0 Nougat and above for compatibility. HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas recently tweeted saying that the company is working on bringing the Lumia camera app UI to its range of Nokia Android smartphones. However, the current update does not bring that Lumia camera app UI.
Since we are talking about update, it is also pertinent to mention here that, HMD Global has recently made official that its current lineup of Nokia-branded smartphones will all be eligible for the Android P update. The company has recently released the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 in India and already has the Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 in its portfolio here.
