Nokia 5.1 Plus launched alongside Nokia 6.1 Plus in India
Nokia today added to its mid-range category of smartphones by introducing the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus in India today. Both smartphones will be available exclusively through Nokia’s own website and Flipkart. However, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is touted to go on sale on August 30, while the Nokia 5.1 Plus is said to be available sometime in September. One of key highlights of the smartphones is that they run on stock Android 8.1 Oreo and are expected to be updated to Android 9 Pie later in the year.
Oppo F9, F9 Pro launched in India
Oppo also launched two mid-range smartphones in India today dubbed as the Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro. Both smartphones are priced at Rs 19,990 and Rs 23,990 respectively, and are available for pre-orders at offline channels.
One of the key highlights of the smartphones is their stylish design and fancy color variants. The smartphones also feature the new waterdrop styled notch at the top, which allows the 6.3-inch display to have a screen-to-body ratio higher than 90 percent.
Vodafone’s new 1.5GB daily data plans with unlimited calling
In order to stay relevant in the challenging telecom sector, Vodafone has now introduced three new prepaid plans at different price points of Rs 209, Rs 479, and Rs 529. These plans offer a daily data limit of 1.5GB, and have a validity of 28 days, 84 days and 90 days respectively. Above that, the plans also offer calling benefits of 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week, alongside 100 text messages per day. The plans also come bundled with ‘Vodafone Play’ subscription, which gives users access to 300 Live TV channels and other video content.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4, Mi TV 4A to be available in offline stores by Diwali
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 series launched in India in March, but have only been available for purchase through Flipkart via flash sales, until recently. But now a new report suggests that Xiaomi is expanding its operations and will be making their smart TVs available through offline brick-and-mortar stores by Diwali. The company aims to offer feature rich TVs to a wider audience at a much affordable price point. Xiaomi’s smart TV lineup currently consists of the Mi TV 4 55-inch TV, and the Mi TV 4A 32-inch and 43-inch variants.
Realme 2 to launch in India on August 28
After separating from Oppo, Realme is getting ready to launch its second smartphone in the market, which is dubbed as the Realme 2. The company tweeted about the device yesterday, and now has sent out media invites for a launch event scheduled for August 28. The new device is said to carry pretty much the same hardware and design as the Realme 1. Additionally though, the smartphone is touted to come with dual rear cameras, a fingerprint sensor and a notch display.

Vivo V11 images leaked ahead of September 6 launch
Based on the media invites sent by Vivo recently, it looks like the company is getting ready to launch its new Vivo V11 smartphone in India on September 6. Leading up to its launch however, images of the smartphone seem to have been leaked on a Russian website revealing the smartphone to come with a ‘waterdrop’ styles notch and dual rear cameras. The image also hints the device to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor like Vivo X21 and Vivo NEX smartphones.
