HMD Global recently announced the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 5.1 smartphones, which are successors to last year’s Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. The Finnish company also launched the Nokia X6 in China, which brings glass back design, dual cameras at the back and a notched display. Now, looks yet another Nokia smartphone has surfaced on China’s TENAA, and it is also expected to come with a display notch.
Spotted by SlashLeaks, the smartphone in question carries a model number TA-1109 and it is expected to be the Nokia 5.1 Plus. TENAA has also shared photos of the smartphone, and it look similar to the Nokia X6. As we can see, the front is dominated by the display, and has a notch on the top, which houses the front camera, earpiece and sensors. The volume rocker and power / sleep button can be seen on the right.
The smartphone has a glass back finish to offer a premium look and feel, but don’t expect wireless charging as Nokia 5.1 Plus is expected to be a mid-range smartphone. Based on the information available via TENAA listing, the smartphone will feature a 5.86-inch HD+ display running at a resolution of 720×1520 pixels. It will be powered by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2GHz, but there is no word on whether it is a MediaTek or a Qualcomm chipset.

The chipset will be paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, or 4GB / 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. In the photography department, it will feature a dual-rear camera setup comprising of dual 13-megapixel sensors. But there is no word on whether the other sensor comes with a telephoto lens or it is a monochrome sensor.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus will run Android 8.1 Oreo OS out-of-the-box and will be armed with a 3,000mAh battery. Rest of the details such as front camera resolution, pricing, and launch date are unknown. However, we expect more details to pour in as the launch draws closer.
