In reply to a tweet asking for the Nokia 5 (2018), Sarvikas slyly replied, stay tuned 🙂 While this is by no ways an official announcement, it is as close to a confirmation of the smartphone s existence as we can get. There is, unfortunately, no word on a specific date for the Nokia 5 (2018) launch. Sarvikas has been quite active on social media, and recently confirmed that the Nokia 7 Plus will soon be getting 4G LTE support on both the SIM slots. HMD Global has so far launched the 2018 version of the Nokia 6. If the Nokia 6 (2018) is anything to go by, the Nokia 5 (2018) will be a small upgrade over last year s Nokia 5. Most of the improvements are likely to be under the hood.

The Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch HD (720p) display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. For photography, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The rest of the features include a 3,000mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options like dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port. While the smartphone was launched with Android Nougat out-of-the-box, it has since been updated to Oreo.
