Nokia 6.1 Plus could be coming to India soon
A teaser released by Nokia Mobile India on Twitter hints at the impending launch.
HMD Global, which now makes smartphones under the Nokia brand, could be bringing the Nokia 6.1 Plus to India soon, according to a teaser on Twitter by the company's official India handle. Although the teaser doesn't give away any details of the phone to be launched, it does reveal that it is planning a big launch event in India that it wants its fans to be a part of.
The teaser directs fans on Twitter to a special page where they can write about a specific Nokia experience they have had. The entry will go into a contest that will allow a few lucky users to attend the next launch event. No details of this event have been revealed, so at this point there's no way to know when or where the launch event will be held.
The only hint as to what will be launched comes through the fact that a support page for the Nokia 6.1 Plus - launched in China as the Nokia X6 - has gone live in India. It's also possible that HMD Global could launch multiple phones at this event, including the Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 2.1, which will be the 2018 versions of popular phones that were launched last year. After China, India is the next most important market for Nokia, and it will be focused on bringing many of its affordable devices to India.

The event is likely to take place later this month, and could see Nokia unveil its whole new range of phones in the budget segment. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is the likeliest to launch, and could be priced at below Rs 25,000 in India. The phone was launched recently in China as the Nokia X6, and sports a notched display.
