Last week, HMD Global announced a new variant of the Nokia 6 smartphone. This variant, with a price tag of Rs 16,999, comes with 64GB internal memory, and 4GB of RAM. It is set to go on sale today in India, and here’s everything you need to know.
The Nokia 6 variant will be available on Flipkart, and the sale is set to kick off at 12:00PM. The color option available is Matte Black. Buyers using an Axis bank credit or debit card will be entitled to an additional five percent discount (maximum Rs 200). The company has also announced an exchange offer, where one can stand to get a discount of up to Rs 2,000. There are also EMI options available, starting from Rs 825 per month.

Besides the bump in RAM and storage, this Nokia 6 variant comes with the same set of specifications and features as the original. So essentially, you get a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 chipset. The internal memory is expandable using a microSD card.
For photography, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF support, and dual-tone LED flash. For selfies and video calling, there’s an 8-megapixel snapper up front with f/2.0 aperture.
The rest of the features include a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, 3,000mAh battery, and Dolby ATMOS support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and OTG support. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android Nougat 7.1.1 out-of-the box.
