After launching the Nokia 7.1 last week, HMD Global seems to be gearing up to launch another smartphone. Nokia India’s Twitter handle has started teasing the launch of a new smartphone that will boast a ‘Mega Display’.
The company briefly put up a teaser tweet on its official handle teasing the launch of a smartphone with a mega display. The tweet has been taken down, but not before it was spotted by the folks at MSP. If all the reports are to be believed, this upcoming smartphone could be the Nokia 7.1 Plus.
The Nokia 7.1 Plus, as the name suggests, will be the successor to the Nokia 7 Plus. The term mega display does fit in with earlier rumors hinting at the Nokia 7.1 Plus sporting a large 6.18-inch IPS LCD screen. This display is expected to boast a FHD+ resolution, and a tall aspect ratio.
Nokia 7.1 Plus rumored specifications, features
Other rumored specifications of the upcoming device include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. There is also expected to be a higher variant featuring 6GB of RAM, and 128GB storage. The built-in memory on both variants will be expandable using a microSD card.
For photography, the device is rumored to be equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back. The bigger display, and form factor also means that the device could be backed by a bigger battery.
