Here s some good news if you have recently purchased the Nokia 7 Plus. The smartphone was initially launched with 4G LTE support on only one SIM card slot. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, confirmed via Twitter about this upcoming feature on the Nokia 7 Plus. While the new smartphone has received largely positive reviews since launch, many did note the absence of LTE support on both SIM card slots. The omission was surprising since the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. This chipset comes with built-in support for dual-SIM LTE functionality. 4G support on both SIM slots is a given these days when many have completely switched over to the LTE networks. Since the introduction of Reliance Jio, it has become easier and affordable than ever before to own a 4G connection with oodles of data to use. There is however no word on when HMD Global will roll out this feature. But going by Sarvikas admission on Twitter, it shouldn t be that far off.
