If you are a Nokia 8 Sirocco or a Nokia 2 smartphone user, here’s some good news. HMD Global has started rolling out new updates for the two devices.
May security updates for both the smartphones have started rolling out in select markets. Users in India have also started receiving notifications about this update, NPU reports. The update for the Nokia 8 Sirocco is about 82.5MB in size, while the one for the Nokia 2 is about 88MB in size.
For update purposes, it is recommended you have a strong Wi-Fi connection, and your smartphone is charged over 50 percent. If you haven’t received a notification yet, you can manually check by heading over to Settings > About Phone > Software updates.
The roll out is in phases, so you may have to be a bit patient if you haven’t received a notification yet. The May Security update has already been rolled out for other Nokia smartphones including the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and the Nokia 1.

Nokia 8 Sirocco price, specifications, features
With a price tag of Rs 49,999, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is the most expensive device in HMD Global’s portfolio. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB onboard storage.
Other features include dual-camera setup (12-megapixel+13-megapixel) at the back, 5-megapixel selfie sensor, and a 3,260mAh battery. On the software front, the single-SIM device runs Android 8.1 Oreo.
Nokia 2 price, specifications, features
The Nokia 2, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 6,999. The smartphone features a 5-inch HD LTPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad-core SoC, and 1GB of RAM.
Other features include an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a 4,000mAh battery that is said to last up to two days on a single charge.
