HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the Nokia 3310 next month in India. The company is also rumored to be working on higher-end smartphones like the Nokia 8 and Nokia 9. Details about these two smartphones have already been leaked multiple times. The smartphone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC, the one already seen on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xiaomi Mi 6 this year. As per previous reports, the smartphone will bear an all-metal design and will come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. Alongside the top-end Snapdragon 835 processor, the Nokia 8 will sport a 23-megapixel primary camera, PocektNow reports. The smartphone is also rumored to feature Carl Zeiss lens along with LED Flash and 4K video recording capabilities. More about the Carl Zeiss lens, its association with Nokia was seen on older smartphones such as the Nokia N8, Nokia 800 PureView, Nokia Lumia 900 and Lumia 800. These smartphones boasted of best camera on board in their time. Much like the reincarnated Nokia 3310, the Nokia- Carl Zeiss association would be a treat for the fans.
While an another report also hints at a dual-rear camera setup on the Nokia. If Carl Zeiss lenses do not make it to the final design, then Nokia 8 might sport a pair 23-megapixel sensors on the rear panel. It could also house a 12-megapixel selfie snapper on the front panel. Other noteworthy features expected on Nokia 8 include a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED bezel-less display. While an another low-end variant could sport a 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED display. Nokia promises a vanilla Android experience to the users and Nokia 8 is said to run Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box.
Besides the June launch and key specifications, some reports also suggest expected pricing of the Nokia flagship. Where a the smaller sibling is expected to be priced at CNY 4,000 which approximates up to Rs 38,400), the top variant is said to be priced around CNY 4,500 which rounds off to Rs 43,500.
