HMD Global, the Finland-based company that is responsible for bringing back Nokia-branded smartphones in the market announced the availability of Nokia 8110 in the Indian market. The company has priced the device at Rs 5,999 and interested buyers can head to their choice of offline or online platforms to buy the device. In addition to major smartphone retailers, the device is also available for same on Nokia.com. The device is available in two colors, the Traditional Black , and Banana Yellow . The company initially revealed the device back at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 and launched it in the Indian market last month. Talking about the specifications of the device, the Nokia 8110 runs on Snapdragon 205 SoC with dual-core CPU with the A7 cores clocked at up to 1.1GHz. HMD Global also added Adreno 304 GPU along with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The device does come with a microSD card slot which can be used by users to expand the storage up to 64GB if they are running out of storage. In terms of connectivity, the device comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and a microUSB port for charging the device. 8110 is powered by a 1,500mAh battery which, according to the claims by the company, can provide up to 600 hours of standby, 11 hours of talk time and 48 hours of music playback.
About the software of the device, the device does not come with Android. Instead, HMD Global has opted for KaiOS. The same operating system that powers the original JioPhone and JioPhone 2. Last but not the least, to the complete the loop of nostalgia, the device comes pre-loaded with the Classic Snake game.
