Smartphone price reductions
A number of smartphones have launched in the market in recent weeks pushing a number of companies to slash the prices of their comparatively older smartphones. These companies include Vivo, Samsung, and Sony India. As reported previously Vivo India reduced the price of its Vivo V9 with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage from Rs 22,990 to Rs 20,990.
Samsung India reduced the price of its recently launched Samsung Galaxy A6+ from Rs 25,990 to Rs 23,990.
Sony India was the third company to announce a price reduction of three of its existing smartphones, the Xperia XZs, Xperia L2 and Xperia R1.
Sony Xperia XZs will now be priced at Rs 29,990 after a massive discount of Rs 10,000 from the previous price of Rs 39,990. Xperia L2 is now priced at Rs 14,990 from Rs 19,990 and Xperia R1 is now priced at Rs 9,990 from Rs 10,990.
Nokia 8810 4G will get WhatsApp support
This tease came just a day after Reliance Jio announced that WhatsApp support is coming to JioPhone along with Facebook and YouTube.
Android P now comes with “Magnifier”
Google is working on developing a solution which will attempt to solve the visibility problem when a user tried to select a small test using their fingers and can’t properly see where the selection pointer is.
The company will introduce a ‘magnifier’ with Android P where a separate box will pop up which magnifies and shows the text being highlighted more clearly for the user to get an idea of exactly what they are selecting.
OnePlus 6 Silk White edition back in stock
It looks like the Silk White edition of the OnePlus 6, the latest flagship from the company is back in stock on Amazon India.
Interested buyers can head on the online store to buy the device but they need to hurry else the device will run out of stock.
Bharti Airtel removes FUP limits to combat Jio GigaFiber
Bharti Airtel has removed the FUP limit from its broadband plans with immediate effect. This announcement comes just a day after Reliance Jio announced JioGigaFiber, the company’s FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) broadband service.
As of now, the limit is only removed in Hyderabad city, and users now get virtually unlimited data.
Nokia 5.1 Plus likely to launch on July 11
A photograph of the promo poster for the Nokia 5.1 leaked out on the internet revealing that HMD Global may be planning to launch the device on July 11.
The poster also confirmed that the device will come with a notched-display. As previously reported, the device will come with a Snapdragon 600-series SoC or Helio P60 SoC along with 3GB, 4GB, and possible 6GB RAM variants.
