OZO has eight shutter sensors and eight dedicated microphones integrated. For reducing work during production, the OZO brings with it the capability to show real time footage via a VR headset. It can also dish out footage in low resolution within few minutes, for director’s immediate creative perusal on location. This is highlighted as a big USP by Nokia as it claims that videos captured through similar cameras usually have to be stitched together during processing before you can see them, and that takes a lot of time. OZO also integrates into existing professional workflows and works with third-party tools, dramatically simplifying content production at all stages.
Nokia unveiled OZO at an event in Los Angeles where representatives of major studios and production houses were invited. Nokia says that the OZO will be pushed out to the markets by the end of fourth quarter of 2015, after testing it out with industry stalwarts and gauging feedback. The full technical specifications and final pricing will also be announced then.
