Nokia India, in partnership with New India Assurance Company Limited, is offering free insurance on the Nokia Asha 501 during the Diwali season. Under this offer, Nokia is giving a handset insurance plan against mobile handset loss, thefts, and damage to the phone beyond offering standard warranty. The offer is available on the purchase of any new Nokia Asha 501 handset and is valid till November 15, 2013. Nokia mentions that the plan also covers any damage to the exterior, interior or components due to an external impact or deliberate action by a third party. It also covers accidental physical damage to the insured equipment, as well as, liquid damages caused by fluid spill. Nokia Asha 501 is the company’s competitively priced (Rs 5,199) smartphone which brings a number of software tweaks along with the all new Asha UI. Specs-wise it comes with 3-inch display, 3.2-megapixel rear camera, FM radio and a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of storage and is also available in an array of interesting fruity colors.
