Starting from today, Nokia Asha phone users in India will be able to use the updated version of Asha software, which brings a number of improvement as well as new features to the software. The update was announced a few weeks back, and brings features like MixRadio service, camera enhancements, improved Fastlane and support for Microsoft OneDrive and will be applicable for the Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502, Asha 503 and Asha 230 phones.

The update will allow users to be able to access Nokia’s MixRadio music streaming service to create song mixes and download them on phones to listen to them in the offline mode. The software update also adds new camera features which include support for panorama photo mode and an improved video stabilization. In addition to that, there will also be a voice-guided self-portrait feature which can be used for clicking better selfies by following voice instructions given by the phone.
Other features in the update include an improved Fastlane which comes with support for pop-up notification for re-tweets, Facebook likes and birthdays within the page, and a battery-power saving mode to improve the battery performance. Besides these, it also introduces dedicated password or PIN code system to lock the browser and app store.
To add more value, Nokia is offering an additional 7GB of free storage on Microsoft’s OneDrive in continuation of its efforts to bring Microsoft services to its lower-end devices.
