HMD Global is set to launch new Nokia-branded Android handsets on February 26 at MWC 2016. Ahead of the official announcement, we have come across a slew of unconfirmed details about the new Nokia smartphones. Just yesterday Nokia hinted at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor-powered flagship smartphone. While the company has already launched a mid-range Nokia 6 smartphone, it is also expected to showcase a low-end smartphone, dubbed Nokia Heart. The Nokia Heart has been spotted on benchmarking website, GFXBench, revealing some of the key features of the smartphone. According to the listing, the Nokia Heart will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Under the hood runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with 2GB of RAM. It is likely to come with 16GB onboard storage. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch 720p display along with 13-megapixel rear, and 8-megapixel front cameras. If these specifications are to be believed, the Nokia Heart seems like an affordable variant of the Nokia 6, which also runs on Android Nougat, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, albeit with 4GB of RAM. It has 5.5-inch full HD display. For photography, the smartphone has 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras. It comes with 64GB of onboard storage.
HMD Global has already hinted at launching multiple phones targeted at different price categories. While the Nokia Heart is targeted at the lower-tier segment, the rumored Nokia P1 is going to be a premium device. Sporting Qualcomm s top-end 835 processor, the Nokia P1 is rumored to come with 6GB of RAM. Rumors suggest that the smartphone will have a 5.3-inch display and 256GB of onboard storage. For photography, the smartphone is expected to come with a 22.6-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss-certification. The P1 is also expected to haveIP57 rating for water and dust resistance. While there has been a lot of chatter around Nokia s mobile phones, there are also rumors of the company launching a Nokia-branded tablet sporting 18.4-inch 2K display. The device is rumored to run Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM. For photography, the Nokia tablet is said to sport a 12-megapixel primary camera with Ultra HD video recording support at a resolution of 3840 2160 pixels, along with features like auto-focus and LED flash.
