HMD Global has confirmed it will be hosting an event on February 26 at MWC 2017, where it will announce new Nokia-branded Android devices. One of the confirmations is that the Nokia flagship will indeed have Qualcomm s latest and top-end Snapdragon 835 processor, reports NokiaPowerUser. And another one is a bit of surprise that it could launch a Nokia-branded device running on Windows OS. Considering that HMD Global has so far talked about only Android smartphones, there are very slim chances a new Nokia Windows smartphone sees the light of day anytime sooner. Just recently, we have come across a leak that revealed a massive 18.4-inch Nokia device with a 2K display. According to the leak, the device runs on Qualcomm s Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU and 64GB of built-in storage. The device comes with 12-megapixel primary camera with Ultra HD video recording support and 12-megapixel front camera. The leaks indicate that HMD Global has plans to explore segments beyond smartphones. While Android is naturally the first choice for the smartphones, Windows makes more sense for enterprise users. As far as the flagship Nokia smartphone goes, recent leaks hint at two premium Android smartphones from the company. The first up is the Nokia 8, which is speculated to come with Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of RAM. Another version of the smartphone has Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM. According to rumors, the Nokia P1 has a 5.3-inch display. For photography, it is expected to be equipped with a 22.6-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss-certification. The P1 is likely to be quite durable with IP57-level resistance to water and dust, and it will run on Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box. Rumors suggest that prices for the Nokia P1 will start from $800 (Rs 54,300 approximately) for the 128GB model, and go up to $950 (Rs 64,500 approximately) for the 256GB variant.
