Keeping a smartphone a secret is impossible these days and the Lumia 625 is no different. Barely hours after Nokia teased something “BIG” was coming tomorrow, we have the full monty on what Nokia’s latest Lumia smartphone is all about. This is not the first time we are seeing the Lumia 625 but it looks like the official thing this time around. However, don’t be fooled by the big display as the Lumia 625 would remain a mid-end smartphone. The 4.7-inch display has a WVGA resolution, a lowly pixel density of 201ppi and will come in a variety of colors thanks to interchangeable plastic covers – a far cry from Nokia’s top-of-the-line unibody design. Other specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. On board is a 5-megapixel rear and a VGA front camera, along with a 2,000 mAh battery. Nothing pathbreaking. Some of the impressive features, however, include the super sensitivity mode for display – high brightness mode for sunlight legibility and the ability to use it with gloves on – as well as the presence of Bluetooth 4.0. Barring aside the 512MB of RAM, the Lumia 625 could hit the sweet spot if Nokia can price it under $300. Will it be able to do that? Well, that’s something we WILL have to wait for the official announcement.
