Nokia has started rolling out Windows Phone Tango update for the Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 smartphones. We have updated our Lumia 710 and can confirm It brings new features like flip to silence calls and Wi-Fi tethering that converts the user’s data connection into a Wi-Fi signal and the device can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot to share with up to five other devices. UPDATE 2: From what we learn, currently only the Windows Phone OS update has rolled out for certain batches of devices. In order to get Internet tethering and flip to silence features, users will be prompted to update the device firmware as well. Nokia has updated its Creative Suite app that adds panorama, group shot, action mode and self-timer features. Users can install the update from the Marketplace for free. These add-ons are powered by Scalado’s tech, which Nokia acquired earlier this month. Check out the new features in the video below.
Apart from this, users will also be able to share business cards and contact information via SMS. Nokia has also added ‘Play To’, which enables users to share media content with other DLNA-enabled devices.
