The tablet was spotted on Zauba (via NPU), the import-export database, and according to the listing it was imported from the US for testing purposes. While it may not be a confirmation, it is one of the clearest signs that the Nokia tablet is coming to our shores. Nokia licensed Foxconn to manufacture the N1 tablet and use its brand name to sell the tablet in China. It was an instant hit the minute it launched, and Foxconn had a hard time meeting the high demands. The tablet repeatedly ran out of stock in the country, even when there is no Google Play Services. As mentioned above, the company finally launched the tablet outside China in May this year.
To refresh, the Nokia N1 flaunts a 7.9-inch 2048×1536 pixels IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor Z3580 64-bit processor. Also on offer is 2GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
The tablet also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front snapper, 5,300mAh battery, and connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under Nokia’s Z Launcher. As for pricing, it retails somewhere around $270 or Rs 17,122 approximately.
