Nokia-owned Withings, a Paris-based health device maker, has made its debut in India. The company has launched a bunch of smart products in India, which include a Wi-Fi powered body scale, a fitness tracker, sleep monitor, a blood-pressure monitor, and a home camera. Withings has launched a Blood Pressure monitor. It slips on the cuff, and can be monitored via an app. The app gives you instant color-coded feedback based on the ESH (European Society of Hypertension) and the AHA (American Heart Association) recommendations for hypertension. Another device is Body, a Wi-Fi enable body scale, measures weight, BMI, Fat Mass, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Hydration Level & weather forecast. Activité, Withings’ activity tracking smartwatch, does not need any charging like regular smartwatches. Activité uses the conventional button cell powering. It uses Withing’s patented Connected Movement Technology to automatically track user’s daily activity. The wearable comes in three variants, Pop, Steel and Sapphire. Pop is a more casual range available in four different colors, while Steel is slightly more formal, which comes in a Stainless Steel and Chrome look. The third variant Sapphire is the high-end one which is Swiss-made, has fine leather straps and features a Sapphire glass. Withing’s Activité Pop is priced at Rs 14,999, the Activité Steel is priced at Rs 17,999 and the Sapphire variant is available for Rs 34,999.
Another device to monitor and improve sleeping experience is Withing’s Aura. Priced at Rs 25,999, the device discreetly records user’s sleeping environment, providing with a complete understanding of sleep patterns. It has scientifically validated light and sound programs, that help induce better sleep.
Withings also launched an Home HD camera with baby monitoring features, which is tagged at Rs 19,999. The monitor includes Baby Monitor Mode with continuous alerts and monitoring, interactive push-to- talk, and LED- connected Lulla Light and music programs.
Lastly, Pulse Ox is another device that Withings has launched in India. The Pulse Ox is a smart wristband that has the ability to measure blood oxygen level and heart rate. The wristband is available for Rs 9,999.
Also, if you have been wondering what these devices connect wirelessly to, Withings also launched a Health Mate app, which allows users to access all the data relating to their health, including activity, weight, heart and sleep.
Nokia acquired Withings last month in a $191 million cash deal. Nokia’s acquisition of Withings was aimed at boosting the smartphone manufacturer’s portfolio of wearables and fitness devices. Withings’ entry to the Indian market comes at a time when Nokia is being rumored to make a comeback to the smartphone market.
