Nokia has been rumored to be working on its tablet for long now, however nothing concrete has come out on that front so far. However, the Finnish company’s patent application form for the “Apparatus Cover with Keyboard”, first uncovered by UnwiredView, reveals what the tablet could look like. The patent application mentions about an apparatus combining a display and a movable cover like keyboard integrated into a tablet device. The report also suggests that the cover of the device can be folded in multiple ways, which certainly reminds of the Surface RT indicating that Nokia had started considering the form factor even before the launch of Microsoft’s Surface. Also, the patent application is dated long back in October 2011 when Nokia was seen shifting its focus to the Windows operating system for Lumia devices.
The model indicates that they had wanted to create something different from what was expected to come to the market. Though nothing can be said about whether the company continued working on this model or had scrapped it off, this patent application only stokes existing rumors about Nokia bringing out its Lumia tablet this year.
