Nokia has announced its interim Q3 earnings and the highlight of the 50-odd page report is the fact that the company’s Lumia range of devices has been doing really well. Nokia sold a total of 8.8 million Lumia devices in the third quarter ending in September, which is a 19 percent increase compared to the previous three months. The 8.8 million sales figure is a significant increase from the 7.4 million Lumias the company sold in Q2 and the 2.9 million devices it sold in the same quarter last year. Nokia attributes this rise in the sales numbers to the wide variety of devices available in its Lumia portfolio, especially budget devices like the Lumia 520.
