While Nokia X (Nokia X6) has already leaked in the form of real-life images and even appeared in a short hands-on video, it has now got certified in China. The Nokia X with model number TA-1099 has been certified by TENAA, China’s telecom authority. The certification reveals complete specifications alongside the renders of the smartphone. It is expected to feature a glass back similar to that of Nokia 8 Sirocco and use aluminum casing with rounded sides. There is just one small confusion, and there is no word on whether it will be called Nokia X, Nokia X6 or Nokia X (2018). Also Read - MWC 2021 postponed, will happen around June next year
The listing reveals that Nokia X will feature a 5.8-inch notched LCD display supporting a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, giving it an aspect ratio of 19:9. The aspect ratio is taller than the 18:9 aspect ratio seen on most other devices and 18.5:9 aspect ratio seen on Samsung’s Galaxy flagship. The smartphone is expected to launch in three different storage models: 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and option for either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.
The TENAA listing spotted by Nokiapoweruser reveals it is powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz. On the camera front, the Nokia X will feature a dual camera setup at the back. The primary camera will use a 16-megapixel sensor while the secondary sensor might opt for a sensor with lower resolution to aid depth sensing. It will also feature a 16-megapixel selfie shooter at the front.
The Nokia X will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and will support expandable memory via SD card slot. The Nokia X will pack a 3,000mAh battery and will launch in black, blue and silver white color. The smartphone is expected to be placed between the Nokia 7 plus and the Nokia 6 (2018) in terms of pricing.

While Nokia X will launch exclusively for the Chinese market next week, there is also a possibility that the HMD Global will launch a global variant as well with Zeiss lens. While the specifications seem fine for the budget price segment, it will have to fight with tough competition from brands like Huawei and Xiaomi.
