HMD Global has finally introduced the Nokia-X series smartphone in China called Nokia X6. With the new smartphone, Nokia has also embraced the display notch that houses the front camera, earpiece and the proximity sensor. The smartphone seems to be exclusive to the Chinese market as HMD Global has not disclosed any details about the global launch. Nokia X6 specifications and features
The Nokia X6 flaunts a 5.8-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display running at a resolution of 2,280×1,080pixels, and aspect ratio of 19:9. As mentioned above, the screen also comes with a display notch, and overall, you get full 18:9 screen real estate to use. At the heart of the Nokia X6 runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 509 GPU. There are two variants, one featuring 4GB RAM with 32GB storage, and other featuring 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. A microSD card slot for further enhancement is also present.
In the photography department, the smartphone comes with a dual camera setup, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor of aperture f/2.0, supplemented by a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor of aperture f/2.2. Nokia has also added AI chops to the camera which helps in enhancing photo quality, and add automatic filters. The AI can also detect the scene and add sticker accordingly. Up front, is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The front camera also includes AI-based facial recognition technology to unlock the smartphone with your face.
To keep things ticking, the Nokia X6 is armed with a 3,060mAh battery, with Quick Charge 3.0 feature that can take the battery from empty to 50 percent in 30 minutes. In the software department, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Connectivity options include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. A 3.5mm audio port is also present. Along with face recognition, the Nokia X6 also comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back for biometric authentication.
