There has been a lot of buzz around the Nokia X6 launching in the global markets lately. Only yesterday, the phone was spotted on the company’s global website, before being pulled down shortly. This happened only days after the global variants of the phone were spotted on Bluetooth certification websites. While we weren’t sure which markets HMD was planning on launching the phone in, it looks like a support page for the device has gone live on Nokia India website, confirming its launch in the country.
UC News spotted a webpage that carries an image of the smartphone alongside a Nokia X6 user guide, which clearly states, “Your mobile device is also designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the India Department of Telecommunications. These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue.” The user guide also claims to follow the rules set by DoT (Department of Telecommunications) in India. All of this points out that the Nokia X6 will be coming to India soon. A clear launch date or pricing is not mentioned, but we hopefully don’t have to wait that long for it.
HMD launched the Nokia X6 in China in May. The device runs on Snapdragon 636 SoC, which comes with Adreno 509 GPU. There are two variants available, one comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, and other with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also sports a 5.8-inch Full HD+ (2280×1080 pixels) notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio. All of this is wrapped around in a unibody metal and glass build.
