Popular leakster Evleaks has leaked a roadmap of Nokia’s forthcoming Windows Phones for this year and the next. The list includes as many as 10 devices that will be launched in 2014 and 2015. Also Read - Forza Horizon 5 available for pre-orders: Price in India, editions and more
The list begins with the Lumia 930, Lumia 630 and the Lumia 635, which are already available in select markets. The Lumia 630 was launched in India last month. The Lumia 930 is essentially the international version of the Verizon’s Lumia Icon and runs on Windows Phone 8.1. According to the leakster, this device is the company’s flagship device for the year. These devices will be followed by the Lumia 530, which as the nomenclature suggests will be an entry-level device. It too will run on Windows Phone 8.1 and will feature a 4.3-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, and 8GB internal storage. Nokia will then launch two mid-range devices codenamed Tesla and Superman. The latter’s specifications leaked earlier this year — it will feature a 4.7-inch display, run on Windows Phone 8.1 and will be Nokia’s first device to boast a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Another high-end device expected to launch towards the end of the year is codenamed McLaren. Details are scarce at the moment, but earlier reports have claimed that this device could offer gesture-based controls called ‘3D Touch.’ This feature will use hardware sensors to detect gestures and will support gestures for scrolling and flipping.
Details about 2015’s devices too are scarce at best. Four devices will be launched at the start of the new year with codenames Makepeace, Dempsey, Cityman and Talkman. The latter two are said to be phablets.
The leaked roadmap shows a launch timeframe for US-based network carriers. There is currently no word on if and when Nokia will launch these devices in India.
