Argenti was the face of Nokia for developers especially during the company’s transition period when it abandoned Symbian and MeeGo for Windows Phone. Nokia’s transition period has lasted longer than it expected and despite having good hardware on Windows Phone but is still seeking a runaway hit.
We have reached out to Nokia for a comment on Argenti’s departure.
UPDATE: Nokia’s statement – “Marco Argenti will be leaving Nokia to pursue other business interests. Marco has made a great contribution to Nokia, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
