Bangalore-based firm Notion Ink is all set to launch a Windows 8.1 tablet dubbed Notion Ink Cain 8. The tablet will exclusively retail on Snapdeal and has already been listed on the e-commerce site as ‘coming soon’, indicating that the launch is very near. Notably, Snapdeal was also Notion Ink’s exclusive retail partner for the 10.1-inch Notion Ink Cain tablet-laptop hybrid that was launched in September. As far as the specifications go, the listing states that the Notion Ink Cain 8 features an 8-inch display and is powered by an Intel quad-core processor. The device houses 16GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD, 4000mAH battery and a 2-megapixel rear camera for photography. Other specifications mentioned on the listing include a SIM card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, a Mini-HDMI port and USB OTG connectivity. The Notion Ink Cain 8 comes with 1TB cloud storage and a one-year subscription of the Microsoft Office 365. However, the highlight here is that the device comes with a ‘On-Site Swap’ warranty i.e. you don t have to leave your home or work place if anything goes wrong with the device. You will be first sent a new Cain 8 tablet from the company and later on, the non-functional unit will be picked up from your address.
