Nubia has announced a new variant of its N1 smartphone which was first introduced in December. The new variant boasts more storage, new color options, and also costs slightly more than the original N1. The new Nubia N1 is exclusive to Amazon India, and will be priced at Rs 12,499. When launched last year, the Nubia N1 housed 32GB of internal storage and was priced at Rs 11,999. The Nubia N1 features a metal unibody design, and boasts a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D arc glass on top. Under the hood, 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor is paired with Mali T860 GPU and 3GB of RAM. In the new iteration, there is 64GB of internal storage along with microSD card support for up to 128GB.
Being a selfie-centric budget smartphone, the Nubia N1 features a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and PDAF support. The smartphone further comes with a rear fingerprint sensor and on the software front, runs Android Marshmallow-based Nubia UI 4.0. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type-C support.
At the given price, the Nubia N1 takes on the recently introduced ZTE Blade A2 Plus. Launched last week, the ZTE Blade A2 Plus was launched for Rs 11,999 and boasts a massive 5,000mAh battery. In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass on the top. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For photography, the ZTE Blade A2 Plus comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and full HD video recording. For selfie enthusiasts, it offers an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
