nubia is all set to launch a new smartphone in India with a revamped identity. Earlier an subsidiary of Chinese telecommunications company ZTE, nubia will be relaunching itself in India as a solo brand, and will launch a new smartphone later this month. The company has already begun its operations as solo brand in select markets like Germany, Spain and Italy. Besides India, the company will be expanding its solo portfolio to markets like Vietnam, Thailand and Mexico. nubia will be re-foraying into the Indian market with its Z11 mini, which is expected to be officially unveiled later this month during the ongoing festive season. The Z11 series was launched earlier this year by then ZTE Nubia. The series is comprised of three smartphones — ZTE Nubia Z11, ZTE Nubia Z11 Max and ZTE Nubia Z11 mini. The nubia Z11 mini, which is set to launch in India, focuses on photography features. The smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 6-piece driving vibrator for faster focus speed and Sapphire protection lens. It further features the DTI and hand-held vibration reduction technology, which is said to deliver 3D noise reduction and higher color restoration. It also has fingerprint scanner on the back. The scanner allows one to save up to 5 fingerprints and also allows shooting photos. By long pressing the fingerprint scanner or the power key and volume key together, one can access the SuperSnap feature which allows you to take screenshots of information that extends past the screen, hand-draw shapes on the screenshots, record videos of the operations performed on the screen and generate video clips which can be later shared.
The smartphone is equipped with Nubia’s Patented Frame Interactive Technology (FiT) technology. This technology makes it easier for single-handed use of the smartphone. With two consecutive rapid clenches on the smartphone, users can either take a screenshot or activate the one-handed mode and with one clench, it will directly unlock the screen. The smartphone also comes with gesture memory which allows users to customize their own holding gestures.

The nubia Z11 Mini smartphone features a 5-inch 1080p HD display with 2.5D Arc Glass and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with ARM Cortex A53. The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage which is further expandable up to 200GB via a microSD card. It offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, USB-OTG, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is powered by a 2,800mAh battery.
Up front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with selfie fill-in low light for clicking photos in low-light conditions. The cameras come with NeoVision 5.8 DSLR-level photography system and Clone Camera as well. The smartphone is also packed with features like nubia’s exclusive Separate Focus and Metering, Independent WB, Time-lapse photographing, Electronic Aperture, Multi-exposure, Light painting, Star Trail and Slow Shutter. The company promises a DLSR-level photographing experience with the nubia Z11 Mini.
