Chinese smartphone maker ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has silently introduced a new smartphone in China. The new Nubia V18 is one of the many devices with thin bezel deisgn to have launched this week alone.
The Nubia V18 features a metal unibody design, and sports a display that has thin bezels around it but does not copy the notch seen on Apple iPhone X. The smartphone features a 6.01-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via SD card slot.
The Nubia V18 features a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a LED flash. Nubia claims it has implemented a custom software called NeoVision 7.0 for enhanced imaging experience. One of the most important things to note here is the rear camera setup, which is designed in such a way that the smartphone seems to feature dual cameras at the back.
Up front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.The Nubia V18 features hybrid dual-SIM slot and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs nubia UI 5.1 based on Android Nougat.
The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery along with support for fast charging. The Nubia V18 is now available for pre-order and starts shipping on March 28 in China. It will be available in Black, Gold and Red color options and is priced at RMB 1,299 (around Rs 13,000).
